The Eye Surgery Center of the Carolinas is a free-standing, Medicare Certified ambulatory surgery center.  We are owned in partnership by Surgical Care Affiliates and physician partners. Established in 1982 by Dr. Robert Gale Martin and Dr. George Tate Jr, our center has grown to a three Operating Room suite and seven ophthalmologists.  Since then, patients from across the United States and several foreign countries have come to this center for their eye care needs.
